Former Speakers

• December 1,2006, Mr. Eldwin "Ed" Kennedy, President of Environmental Assistance Group will speak on "The new trends in training on Lead and Asbestos over the Internet". Mr. Kennedy is a very dynamic speaker who will give the group an insight on the new tehniques and procedures in this training technique.
• October 6,2006,Mr. Mark Pisani, District Manager of the CAL/OSHA Monrovia Compliance Office will speak on "Employee Independent Act Defence and how it is used by employers to appeal citations issued by the Division.
• August 4,2006, Special Agent Regina Miles, FBI will be our speaker this month. She will talk about: Terrorism: The Next Step. Discussion will be focused on a look at terrorism today in the United States and abroad. She will be focusing on cases in California that may affect security in our local areas and industry.
• June 2,2006, Since we are meeting at the Toyota Motor Museum,our President-Jeff Malek will try to get someone at the museum to present the museum history. So come out and join us for an exciting and different luncheon meeting.
• April 7,2006,Ms. Joanette Alpert, MS,PT,CIE, Registered Ergonomist. She will be discussing "Recent Research in Ergonomics and their Practical Applications".
• February 3,2006, This month, we have Ms. Linda Edleman, Loss Control Manager for Vons' Safety Department as our speaker. She has over 25 years of retail, manufacturing and distribution safety experience. She has worked for a variety of companies including: Market Basket, Ralphs Grocery/Federated Department Stores, and Home Base before coming to Vons. She has a Bachelors in Safety Management& Engineering Technology from National University in San Diego. She will be presenting information on creating a Safety Culture at your place of employment.
